Sahih al-Bukhari 6338 (Book 80, Hadith 35) #6089
Asking Allah with Determination

SUMMARY: We should ask Allah for something with determination and not doubt His will.

Narrated Anas: Allah's Messenger said, "When anyone of you appeal to Allah for something, he should ask with determination and should not say, 'O Allah, if You wish, give me'., for nobody can force Allah to do something against His Will.

QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in the will of God and make your requests confidently .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of having determination when asking for something from Allah. It teaches us that we should have faith in the will of God and not doubt it when making a request to Him. We should make our requests with confidence, knowing that whatever He wills is best for us. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also taught us to never say “O Allah, if You wish, give me” as this implies that we are doubting His will or trying to force Him into doing something against His wishes. Instead, we should trust in His wisdom and be confident in our requests knowing that He knows what is best for us even if it may not be what we want at the time.
