Sahih al-Bukhari 6352 (Book 80, Hadith 49) #6103
Blessing of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) blessed a young boy and performed ablution for him, which the boy drank from.

Narrated As-Sa'ib bin Yazid: My aunt took me to Allah's Messenger and said, "O Allah's Messenger ! My sister's son is sick". So he passed his hand over my head and invoked for Allah's blessing upon me and then performed the ablution. I drank from the water of his ablution and I stood behind him and looked at his Khatam (the seal of Prophethood) between his shoulders (and its size was) like the button of a tent.

QUICK LESSONS:
Seek blessings through prayer/invocation when in need/difficulty , Be kind towards children

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the blessing of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As-Sa’ib bin Yazid narrates that his aunt took him to Allah's Messenger and asked for his help as her sister's son was sick. The Prophet then passed his hand over As-Sa’ib's head and invoked Allah's blessings upon him. He then performed ablution and allowed As-Sa’ib to drink from it. After this he stood behind the prophet and saw a seal between his shoulders which was like a button of a tent. This hadith shows us how much care and love our beloved prophet had for children even in their sicknesses. It also teaches us that we should always seek blessings from Allah through prayer or invocation whenever we are in need or difficulty as it is only through His mercy that we can be saved from any harm or difficulty. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us to be kind towards children as they are innocent creatures who need our love and care more than anyone else in this world.
