EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us about the major sins that we should avoid in our lives. These four major sins are shirk, nushooz, qatl and kizb. Shirk is when someone associates someone or something else with Allah SWT; this is considered one of the biggest sins in Islam as it goes against the core belief of monotheism. Nushooz is when someone disobeys their parents; this includes not listening to them or not respecting them as they deserve. Qatl is when someone takes another person’s life without any valid reason; this includes murder and manslaughter. Lastly, kizb is when someone lies or speaks falsely about something or somebody else; this includes slander and backbiting which are also considered major sins in Islam. We should strive to stay away from these four major sins so that we can be successful both in this world and the hereafter!
