EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught that faith consists of more than sixty parts or branches. One part is haya, which is a concept that includes self-respect, modesty, bashfulness and scruple. Haya is an important part of faith because it helps us to be humble and respectful towards others. It also encourages us to think before we act so that we can make sure our actions are in line with the teachings of Islam. By having haya as part of our faith, we can strive to be better Muslims who are mindful and respectful towards others at all times.
