Narrated Ibn Ka'b bin Malik from his father: We had some sheep which used to graze at Sala'. One of our slave-girls saw a sheep dying and she broke a stone and slaughtered the sheep with it. Narrated Yazid: (the Maula of Munba'ith) The Prophet ﷺ was asked regarding the case of a lost sheep. He said, "You should take it, because it is for you, or for your brother, or for the wolf". Then he was asked about a lost camel. He got angry and his face became red and he said (to the questioner), "You have nothing to do with it; it has its feet and its water container with it; it can go on drinking water and eating trees till its owner meets it". And then the Prophet ﷺ was asked about a Luqata (money found by somebody). He said, "Remember and recognize its tying material and its container, and make public announcement about it for one year. If somebody comes and identifies it (then give it to him), otherwise add it to your property".

Narrated Sahl: The distance between the pulpit and the wall of the mosque on the side of the Qibla was just sufficient for a sheep to pass through.
The hadith also reminds us to keep our mosques free from unnecessary items so that people can focus on worshipping Allah in peace without any distractions or hindrances. Furthermore, this hadith teaches us about moderation in all aspects of life; even when decorating our places of worship we must remember not to go overboard with decorations or furniture as this could lead to overcrowding which would make it difficult for people to move around freely within the mosque.
Finally, this hadith serves as an example of how Muslims are encouraged to maintain their places of worship in order to show respect towards Allah and His house. We must remember not only keep our mosques clean but also ensure they are spacious enough so everyone can pray comfortably without any obstructions or disturbances.
The narration transmitted by Hakam (the words are): Al-Sa'b b. Jaththama presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the leg of a wild ass. And in the narration transmitted by Shu'ba (the words are): (He presented to him) the rump of a wild ass as the blood was trickling from it. In the narration transmitted by Shu'ba on the authority of Habib (the words are): A part of a wild ass was presented to the Apostle (may peace he upon him) and he returned it to him (who presented it).
The Prophet's example also shows us how important it is for us to remain humble and grateful for whatever Allah has given us without feeling entitled or expecting more than what is due from others. We should always remember that whatever blessings come our way are ultimately from Allah alone, so we must never forget Him when receiving something good from another person's hand either directly or indirectly through their generosity towards us.

Nu'man b. Bashir (Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as having said this (and Nu'man) pointed towards his ears with his fingers): What is lawful is evident and what is unlawful is evident, and in between them are the things doubtful which many people do not know. So he who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and honour blameless, and he who indulges in doubtful things indulges in fact in unlawful things, just as a shepherd who pastures his animals round a preserve will soon pasture them in it. Beware, every king has a preserve, and the things God his declared unlawful are His preserves. Beware, in the body there is a piece of flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound and if it is corrupt the whole body is corrupt, and hearken it is the heart.
