Greet people with peace & mercy

This hadith is about the importance of greeting others with peace and mercy. It was narrated from 'Abdullah that the Prophet used to say salam to his right and left side until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen from here, and the whiteness of his cheek from here. This shows how much emphasis he put on greeting others in a peaceful manner. He wanted everyone around him to feel welcomed and respected by being greeted in this way. The Prophet's example teaches us that we should always strive to greet each other with peace and mercy no matter who they are or where they come from. We should also remember that our words have power so it is important for us to use them wisely when interacting with others.
