Leaving After Prayer

SUMMARY: Anas bin Malik was asked which direction to leave after prayer and he said that the Prophet Muhammad usually left to the right.

It was narrated that As-Suddi said: "I asked Anas bin Malik: 'How should I leave after I have prayed- to the right or to the left?' He said: 'I usually saw the Messenger of Allah leave to the right'.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ كَيْفَ أَنْصَرِفُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِي، أَوْ عَنْ يَسَارِي، قَالَ أَمَّا أَنَا فَأَكْثَرُ، مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about leaving after prayer. It was narrated by As-Suddi that he asked Anas bin Malik which direction one should leave after praying. Anas replied that he usually saw the Prophet Muhammad leaving to the right. This hadith teaches us that it is important to follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad and do as he did when it comes to religious practices such as prayer. We can learn from this hadith that we should always try our best to emulate his actions and strive for righteousness in all aspects of our lives.
