The Guidance of Allah for Muslims on Friday

SUMMARY: Allah guided the Muslims to Friday and they will be the first to be judged on the Day of Resurrection.

It was narrated that Hudhaifah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah sent astray from Friday those who came before us, so the Jews had Saturday and the Christians had Sunday. Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, brought us and guided us to Friday, so there is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and thus they will follow us on the Day of Resurrection. We are the last of the people of this world but the first on the Day of Resurrection for whom judgment will be passed before all other creatures'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Obey God's commands and strive for good deeds in life .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how Allah guided the Muslims to observe Friday as their day of worship. Before this guidance was given, Jews observed Saturday and Christians observed Sunday. However, after this guidance was given by Allah through His Messenger Muhammad ﷺ , Muslims were instructed to observe Friday as their day of worship. This hadith also speaks about how on the Day of Resurrection all other creatures will follow after us and judgment will be passed before all other creatures. This is a reminder that we should strive to do good deeds in our lives so that we can receive a favorable judgment from Allah on that day.
