Observe fasting on certain occasions like Ashurah , 9 Days Of Dhu - l - Hija & 3 Days Each Month .

According to a hadith narrated by Hunaidah bin Khalid, one of the wives of the Prophet said that he used to fast on the day of 'Ashura, nine days of Dhul-Hijjah and three days each month; Monday and two Thursdays. This hadith shows us that fasting is an important part of Islamic practice. It is recommended for Muslims to fast on certain occasions such as the day of 'Ashura, which marks a significant event in Islamic history when Allah saved Moses from Pharaoh's army by splitting the sea for them. Additionally, it is recommended for Muslims to fast during nine days in Dhul Hijja which are known as ‘The Days Of Tashreeq’ or ‘The Days Of Hajj’ because they coincide with Hajj season when millions gather at Makkah for pilgrimage. Lastly, it is also recommended for Muslims to fast every Monday and Thursday as these are considered sacred days in Islam where special prayers are offered and rewards from Allah are multiplied manifold if one observes fasting on these two particular days every week throughout their life time.
