EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah, speaks about the obligation to fast for three days in every month and throughout the entire month of Ramadan. It is an important part of Islamic practice that has been prescribed by Allah and His Messenger Muhammad ﷺ. Fasting helps us to remember Allah and be mindful of our actions, as well as being a form of worship that brings us closer to Him. It also teaches us patience, self-control, discipline and humility. During Ramadan specifically, fasting helps us to focus on our spiritual growth while abstaining from worldly pleasures such as food or drink during daylight hours. By fasting we can learn how to be grateful for what we have been given in life and appreciate it more deeply than before.
