QUICK LESSONS:
Paying zakat on time and with sincerity .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's commandment to Muadh ibn Jabal when he was sent to Yemen. He was instructed to take a cow in its third year from every forty cows and a two-year-old cow from every thirty cows as payment for zakat. Additionally, he was told to take one dinar or its equivalent in maafir from everyone who had reached the age of puberty. This shows that it is important for Muslims to pay their zakat on time and with sincerity so that they can be rewarded by Allah SWT. It also teaches us that we should be generous with our wealth and use it in ways that will benefit others as well as ourselves.
