QUICK LESSONS:
Make Du’a , Seek Help From Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of making du'a, or supplication, to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) advised his companion Ali ibn Abi Talib to make du'a by saying "O Allah, make me steadfast and guide me". He also forbade him from sitting on Al-Mayathir which was a type of cushion that women used to put on the saddles for their husbands. This hadith teaches us that we should always turn to Allah in times of difficulty or hardship by making du'a for His help and guidance. We should also strive not to do anything that is forbidden in Islam such as sitting on Al-Mayathir.
