Seeking Refuge From Allah

SUMMARY: Seeking refuge from Allah from poverty, humiliation, wronging others and being wronged.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah,: From the Prophet SAW, that he used to say: "Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-qillati wal-faqri, wadh-dhillati wa a'udhu bika min azlima aw uzlam (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from want, poverty and humiliation, and I seek refuge with You from wronging others or being wronged)"
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ كَانَ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْقِلَّةِ وَالْفَقْرِ وَالذِّلَّةِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Hurairah and it speaks about seeking refuge from Allah. The Prophet Muhammad [SAW] used to say a prayer asking for protection from want, poverty, humiliation and wronging others or being wronged. This hadith teaches us that we should always turn to Allah in times of need and ask for His help in difficult situations. It also teaches us the importance of not mistreating others or allowing ourselves to be mistreated by anyone else. We should always strive to treat people with respect and kindness regardless of their social status or financial situation.
