The Marks of Purity

SUMMARY: Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), offered to show people the marks on a wall where he had taken a bath due to sexual defilement.

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: If you want, I can certainly show you the marks of the hand of the Messenger of Allah on the wall where he took a bath because of sexual defilement.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ شَوْكَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا الشَّعْبِيُّ، قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رضى الله عنها لَئِنْ شِئْتُمْ لأُرِيَنَّكُمْ أَثَرَ يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَائِطِ حَيْثُ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of purity and cleanliness in Islam. It was narrated by Aisha, one of the wives of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). She offered to show people marks on a wall where he had taken a bath due to sexual defilement. This shows that even though Prophet Muhammad was sinless and pure, he still took baths for purification after any kind of physical contact with his wives. This teaches us that we should always strive for purity and cleanliness in our lives as it is an important part of Islamic teachings. We should also take baths regularly for purification after any kind of physical contact with our spouses or anyone else outside our family members.
