Sahih al-Bukhari 21 (Book 2, Hadith 14) #21
Sweetness of Faith

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that having a strong faith requires loving Allah and His Messenger more than anything else, loving someone for the sake of Allah, and hating to revert to disbelief after being saved from it.

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness of faith: I The one to whom Allah and His Apostle become dearer than anything else. II Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake. III Who hates to revert to disbelief (Atheism) after Allah has brought (saved) him out from it, as he hates to be thrown in fire".

QUICK LESSONS:
Love Allah & His Messenger; Hate reverting back to disbelief; Be devoted towards God Almighty.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that having a strong faith requires three qualities. Firstly, one must love Allah and His Messenger more than anything else in the world. Secondly, one must love someone for the sake of Allah alone; not because of any worldly gain or benefit. Lastly, one must hate reverting back to disbelief after being saved from it as much as they would hate being thrown into fire. These three qualities are essential in order to taste the sweetness of faith and be truly devoted to God Almighty.
