QUICK LESSONS:
Seek repentance from Allah, Perform acts of worship to make up for our mistakes

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas tells us that the Prophet Muhammad stayed in Mecca for three days to perform an act of atonement known as Umrat al-Qada'. This is a type of pilgrimage, or Hajj, which is done to repent and seek forgiveness from Allah. It involves performing certain rituals such as circumambulating the Kaaba seven times and praying two rakats. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to seek repentance from Allah and make up for our mistakes through acts of worship. We should also remember that even the Prophet himself was not above making mistakes and seeking forgiveness from Allah.
