Taking Short Naps Before Entering Makkah

SUMMARY: Ibn Umar used to take a short nap at Batha' and then enter Makkah, which was also done by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Nafi’ said "Ibn 'Umar used to nap for a short while at Batha’ (i.e, Al Muhassab) and then enter Makkah". He thought that Apostle of Allaah used to do so.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take short naps when feeling tired during journeys

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about taking a short nap before entering the holy city of Makkah. It was narrated by Nafi’ that Ibn Umar used to take a short nap at Al Muhassab, which is located outside of the city, and then enter into it. This practice was also done by Prophet Muhammad himself. Taking naps can help us feel refreshed and energized for our next task or journey. It is important to remember that we should not sleep too long as it can make us feel more tired than before. We should also ensure that we are well-rested before embarking on any journey so that we can stay alert and focused throughout our travels. Additionally, this hadith teaches us about respecting the sanctity of holy places like Makkah; even if one feels tired from their travels, they should still take some time to rest before entering such places in order to show respect for them.
