Marriage of Slaves and Master's Permission

SUMMARY: Marriage of a slave without the permission of his master is not valid.

Ibn 'Umar reported the Prophet as saying "If a slave marries without the permission of his master, his marriage is null and void. Abu Dawud said "This tradition is weak. This is Mauquf(does not go back to the Prophet). This is the statement of the Ibn 'Umar himself.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow rules set by society , Respect authority figures , Obey masters or parents
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith talks about the marriage of slaves and how it is not valid unless their master gives them permission to do so. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that if a slave marries without the permission of his master then their marriage will be null and void. This means that even if two people are in love and want to get married, they cannot do so unless they have the approval from their master first. It is important for slaves to remember this rule as it can help them avoid any legal issues in the future. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us about respecting authority figures such as masters or parents who may have different opinions than us but still need to be respected nonetheless.
