The Right of Allah

SUMMARY: Allah has the right to lower anything that is exalted in the world.

Narrating this story Anas reported the Prophet as saying: It is Allah’s right that nothing should become exalted in the world but he lowers it.
حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، بِهَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ لاَ يَرْتَفِعَ شَىْءٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ وَضَعَهُ
