Marriage and Guardianship

SUMMARY: Marriage should be done with the permission of a guardian.

It was narrated from Abu Musa that: the Messenger of Allah said: "There is no marriage except with a guardian".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ لاَ نِكَاحَ إِلاَّ بِوَلِيٍّ
