EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates the story of the marriage between the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his beloved wife Aishah. It is reported that when they were married, the dowry was set at fifty dirhams. This is an example of how even in marriage, Muslims are encouraged to be mindful and conscious about their spending habits. Even though it was a small amount for a dowry at that time, it still shows us that we should not be wasteful or extravagant in our spending. We should always strive to spend within our means and not go beyond what we can afford. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us about modesty and humility; even though he was a prophet sent by God himself, he still chose to keep his wedding simple and modest instead of going all out with lavish decorations or expensive gifts like many people do today.
