Prohibiting Marriage to Paternal and Maternal Aunts

SUMMARY: It is not permissible to marry a woman and her paternal or maternal aunt at the same time.

Abu Bakr bin Abu Musa narrated that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah said: "A man should not be married to a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt at the same time".
حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّهْشَلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا
