QUICK LESSONS:
Be careful with important documents; Follow rulings correctly

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about two verses that were revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. One verse was about stoning and the other was about breastfeeding an adult ten times. These verses were abrogated in recitation but not ruling, meaning that they are no longer part of the Quran but their rulings still apply. It is narrated by 'Aishah who said that these verses were written on a paper which she kept under her pillow until it was eaten by a sheep when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ passed away. This hadith teaches us to be careful with important documents and to keep them safe from harm or destruction as much as possible. It also teaches us that even though some things may change over time, certain rulings remain unchanged and should be followed accordingly.
