QUICK LESSONS:
Treat your spouse fairly and equally regardless if you have more than one wife or husband.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah, speaks to the importance of treating both wives equally in a marriage. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned that if a man has two wives and favors one over the other, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with one side leaning. This implies that Allah will punish those who are unfair to their spouses and do not treat them equally. It is important for married couples to remember this warning and strive for fairness in their relationship so they can avoid any punishment from Allah on Judgment Day.
