Sunan Ibn Majah 2341 (Book 13, Hadith 34) #31693
Refraining from Harming Others

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that one should not harm others nor respond to harm with more harm.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said: "There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm".

QUICK LESSONS:
Do not cause any harm towards others; do not reciprocate harm with more harm; show forgiveness and mercy towards those who have done you wrong; seek justice in a peaceful manner; show kindness towards all people regardless of their actions against you.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us an important lesson about how we should interact with others. He said that we should not cause any harm to another person, and if someone does something wrong to us, we should not respond by doing something wrong back. This is a difficult lesson because it can be hard to forgive someone who has hurt us or our loved ones. However, the Prophet's teachings remind us that it is better for everyone if we can find a way to forgive and move on without causing more pain or suffering. We must remember that Allah is the ultimate judge and He will take care of those who have done wrong in His own way.
