Humility and Equality in the Presence of the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that one should not be intimidated by him, as he is only a son of a woman who ate dried meat.

It was narrated that Abu Mas'ud said: "A man came to the Prophet and his voice trembled out of awe as he spoke to him. The Prophet said to him, "Be calm, for I am not a king. Verily, I am only the son of a woman who ate dried meat".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about humility and equality in the presence of the Prophet. It was narrated by Abu Mas'ud that a man came to speak to the Prophet, but his voice trembled out of awe. The Prophet then said to him, "Be calm, for I am not a king. Verily, I am only the son of a woman who ate dried meat." This statement emphasizes that despite being an important figure in society, he was still humble and equal with everyone else. He wanted people to feel comfortable around him without feeling intimidated or scared due to his status or power. He also reminded them that he was just like any other person; even though he is an important figure in society, he is still just like everyone else - no better or worse than anyone else - because we are all children of Adam and Eve. This hadith teaches us about humility and equality regardless of our social status or power; it reminds us that we should treat each other with respect regardless of our differences because we are all equal before God Almighty.
