Spend your money wisely in good deeds and charity; Focus your efforts towards doing good deeds; Do not wish death upon yourself; Use your money to benefit others as well as yourself in this life and the hereafter; Follow Prophet Muhammad's teachings regarding wishing death upon oneself.

This hadith is about the rewards of spending. It was narrated by Harithah bin Mudarrib that he and his companions visited Khabbab when he was sick. Khabbab said that if it wasn't for the Prophet Muhammad's saying not to wish for death, he would have wished for it. He then said that a person will be rewarded for all their spending, except what they spend on dust or building. This means that whatever a person spends in good deeds and charity will be rewarded by Allah, but not if it is spent on something like dust or building materials which are not considered acts of worship or charity. This hadith teaches us to use our money wisely and to focus our efforts on doing good deeds which can benefit others as well as ourselves in this life and the hereafter.
