Show kindness and compassion towards others

This hadith speaks to the mercy of Allah and how it is bestowed upon those who are merciful. It is narrated by Usamah bin Zaid, a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, that a grandchild was presented to him while at his last breath. Tears began to flow from the eyes of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Sa'd asked him why he was crying. He replied that it was because of the mercy which Allah has placed in the hearts of His slaves. This hadith teaches us that if we want to receive mercy from God, we must be merciful ourselves first and foremost. We must show kindness and compassion towards others in order for us to receive it back from God in return. Furthermore, this hadith also reminds us that even though death is inevitable, we should still be grateful for all our blessings as they can be taken away at any moment without warning or notice.
