QUICK LESSONS:

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us about the lasting impact of good deeds. After a person dies, their physical actions come to an end but there are three things that will continue to benefit them even after death. These are continuous charity, knowledge which is shared with others and used for their benefit, and having a pious son who prays for them. Continuous charity means giving money or other resources regularly in order to help those in need; this can be done while alive or through setting up something like an endowment fund which will continue even after death. Knowledge is also important as it can be shared with others and used to help people in various ways; this could include teaching people skills or providing advice on how to solve problems they may face in life. Finally, having a pious son who prays for you is beneficial as it shows that your legacy lives on through your children’s faithfulness and devotion towards Allah SWT. All these things demonstrate how our good deeds can have lasting effects beyond our own lifetime if we make sure they are done properly and sincerely with the intention of pleasing Allah SWT alone.
