The Rewards of Reciting Letters from the Quran

SUMMARY: Reciting letters from the Quran will be rewarded with a ten-fold reward.

Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter". At- Tirmidhi.

QUICK LESSONS:
Appreciate every single word in the Quran, Strive to recite as much of it as possible

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rewards of reciting letters from the Quran. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will be credited with a good deed and that good deed will be rewarded ten times over. He also clarified that Alif Lam Mim is considered three separate letters and not one letter. This hadith teaches us to appreciate and value every single word in the Quran as each one has its own reward for those who recite it. We should strive to recite as much of it as we can so we can reap its rewards in this life and in the hereafter.
