I then asked, "Which slaves are most excellent (to set free)?" He replied, "Those who are held in high esteem by their people and whose value is higher". Al- Bukhari and Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in Allah; Strive/Jihad in His Path; Respect those around you regardless of social status or wealth; Set free slaves who are held captive due to their high esteem among them

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of two important values that Muslims should strive for. The first is faith in Allah. This means believing that He is the one true God and that He alone deserves our worship. It also means trusting Him to provide for us and guide us through life’s challenges. The second value mentioned is jihad or striving in the path of Allah. This could mean physical struggle against oppression or injustice but it can also mean spiritual struggle against our own weaknesses such as anger or envy. Both of these values are essential for a Muslim’s life as they help us stay on the right path and be closer to Allah. Additionally, this hadith speaks about freeing slaves who have been held captive by their people due to their high esteem among them; this shows how much respect we should have for those around us regardless of their social status or wealth.
