QUICK LESSONS:
Seek refuge in God from all harm & danger; Turn towards Him for help & guidance; Trust His mercy & protection; Supplicate using these words "Allahumma inni audhu bika min sharri ma 'amiltu, wa min sharri ma lam a'mal".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Aishah, one of the wives of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own actions and inaction. He supplicated to Allah using these words “Allahumma inni audhu bika min sharri ma 'amiltu, wa min sharri ma lam a'mal” which translates to “O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil of that which I have done and the evil of that which I have not done”. This teaches us that we should always turn to Allah for protection against any harm or danger we may face due to our own mistakes or lack thereof. We should also remember that no matter what we do or don't do, only God can protect us from any harm or danger so it is important for us to always turn towards Him for help and guidance.
