EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about supplicating to Allah for protection from any harm or misfortune. It encourages us to seek refuge in Allah from the declining of His Favours, passing of safety, the suddenness of His punishment and all that which displeases Him. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this du’a as a way to protect ourselves from any harm or difficulty we may face. We should remember that no matter what happens, if we turn to Allah with sincerity and faith He will always be there for us. We should also remember that it is important to stay away from anything that would displease Him so as not to incur any punishment or difficulty upon ourselves.
