Seek help through prayer when struggling with inner demons or negative thoughts. Ask Allah for His help so that He can guide you away from these evils onto a path of righteousness.

This hadith speaks of the importance of prayer in seeking guidance and deliverance from evil. The Prophet Muhammad taught Imran bin Husain two statements to recite in his Du’a, or supplication, to Allah. These two statements were “Allahumma al-himni rushdi, wa a’idhni min sharri nafsi” which translates to “O Allah! Inspire in me guidance and deliver me from the evils within myself”. Through this hadith we learn that it is important for us to seek help through prayer when we are struggling with our own inner demons or negative thoughts. We should ask Allah for His help so that He can guide us away from these evils and onto a path of righteousness.
