EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith warns us about the dangers of envy. It is narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Prophet Muhammad said that envy can consume or destroy one's virtues just as fire consumes firewood or grass. This means that if we are envious of someone else, it will take away from our own good qualities and make us less virtuous. We should strive to avoid feeling envious of others and instead focus on developing our own positive traits. We should also remember to be grateful for what we have and not compare ourselves to others in a negative way.
