The Creation of the World and Mankind

SUMMARY: This hadith explains the creation of the world and mankind by Allah in six days.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah took hold of my hand and said, "Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the earth on Saturday, the mountains on Sunday, the trees on Monday, the things entailing labour on Tuesday, light on Wednesday, He spread out animals of all kinds on Thursday, and created Adam in the afternoon on Friday, and it was the last hour of Friday between the afternoon and the night". Muslim.
وعنه قال‏:‏ أخذ رسول الله بيدي فقال‏:‏ ‏ "‏خلق الله التربة يوم السبت، وخلق فيها الجبال يوم الأحد، وخلق الشجر يوم الأثنين وخلق المكروه يوم الثلاثاء، وخلق النور يوم الأربعاء، وبث فيها الدواب يوم الخميس، وخلق آدم بعد العصر من يوم الجمعة في آخر الخلق في آخر ساعة من النهار فيما بين العصر إلى الليل‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah, explains how Allah created the world in six days. On Saturday, He created the earth; on Sunday, He created mountains; on Monday, He created trees; on Tuesday, He created things that require labour; on Wednesday, He spread out light; and on Thursday, He spread out animals of all kinds. Finally, at the last hour of Friday between afternoon and night time Allah created Adam. This hadith teaches us that everything was made by Allah with a purpose and it is important to remember this when we are faced with difficult tasks or situations in life. It also reminds us to be grateful for all that we have been given as it was given to us by our Creator who loves us dearly.
