The Definition of a Muslim and Muhajir

SUMMARY: A Muslim is someone who does not harm other Muslims with their words or actions, and a Muhajir is someone who abstains from doing what Allah has forbidden.

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet said, "A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands the Muslims are safe; and a Muhajir (Emigrant) is the one who refrains from what Allah has forbidden". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
وعن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنهما عن النبي قال‏:‏ “المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه، ويده، والمهاجر من هجر ما نهى الله عنه” ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the definition of a true Muslim and a true Muhajir. A Muslim is someone who does not harm other Muslims with their words or actions. They should be kind to others and use their tongue for good deeds only. Similarly, a Muhajirs are those people who refrain from doing what Allah has forbidden. They should stay away from all kinds of sins and bad deeds that are prohibited by Allah in order to please Him. Both these qualities are essential for any believer in order to be considered as true followers of Islam.
