The Greatest Reward of Charity

SUMMARY: Spending money on family is the most rewarding act of charity.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah said, "A dinar you spend in Allah's way, or to free a slave, or as a charity you give to a needy person, or to support your family, the one yielding the greatest reward is that which you spend on your family". Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Spend money on your family members .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us that spending money in the way of Allah or to free a slave or to give charity to those in need are all acts of great reward. However, the greatest reward comes from spending money on one’s own family. This is because taking care of one’s family is an important part of being a good Muslim and it shows that we are grateful for what we have been given by Allah. It also shows that we are willing to share our blessings with others and not just keep them for ourselves. By doing this, we can ensure that our families have enough food and other necessities so they can live comfortably and happily without having to worry about their basic needs being met.
