EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of charity, self-sufficiency, and abstaining from unlawful and forbidden activities. It is narrated by Abu Huraira that Prophet Muhammad said that the upper hand is better than the lower one; meaning that spending money on others is more rewarding than receiving it. He also said to begin charity with those who are under your care such as family members or close friends. Furthermore, he stated that the best form of charity is giving out of surplus which means to give what you can afford without compromising your own needs. Additionally, he mentioned that whoever asks Allah for help in avoiding sins will be granted his wish as long as they have a sincere intention in doing so. Lastly, he advised people to seek self-sufficiency because Allah will provide for them if they strive for it themselves first.
