The Importance of Maintaining Ties of Kinship

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of maintaining ties of kinship even if the other person has severed them.

'Abdullah bin 'Amr Al-'as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet said, "The person who perfectly maintains the ties of kinship is not the one who does it because he gets recompensed by his relatives (for being kind and good to them), but the one who truly maintains the bonds of kinship is the one who persists in doing so even though the latter has severed the ties of kinship with him". Al-Bukhari.

QUICK LESSONS:
Maintain ties with family and relatives even if they have severed their relationship with you; Show kindness; Put others before yourself; Prioritize your relationships over your own interests; Never give up on people no matter how difficult they may be to deal with at times.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of maintaining ties with family and relatives, even if they have severed their relationship with you. It teaches us that kindness and loyalty should not be dependent on whether or not we are rewarded for it. We should continue to show kindness and maintain relationships regardless of what others do in return. This is a lesson in selflessness, as it encourages us to put others before ourselves and prioritize our relationships over our own interests. It also teaches us that we should never give up on people, no matter how difficult they may be to deal with at times.
