Prohibitions of Allah

SUMMARY: Allah has forbidden us from disobeying our mothers, withholding what we should give, demanding what we do not deserve, burying our daughters alive, idle talk, asking too many questions for things of no benefit to us and wasting wealth.

Abu 'Isa Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said, "Allah has forbidden you: disobedience to your mothers, to withhold (what you should give), or demand (what you do not deserve), and to bury your daughters alive. And Allah dislikes idle talk, to ask too many questions (for things which will be of no benefit to one), and to waste your wealth". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your parents and honour others around you .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibitions that Allah has set for us. We are not allowed to disobey our mothers or withhold what we should give them or demand something that is not rightfully ours. We are also forbidden from burying our daughters alive and engaging in idle talk or asking too many questions which will be of no benefit to us. Lastly, we must not waste our wealth as it is a sin in the eyes of Allah. These teachings remind us to respect and honour those around us while also being mindful of how we use the resources given to us by God.
