Kindness & Compassion in Hajj

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) showed kindness and compassion to Safiyya when she was sad and standing at the entrance of her tent. He asked if she had performed Tawaf-al-Ifada on the day of Nahr, and upon her confirmation, allowed her to depart.

Narrated 'Aisha: When Allah's Messenger decided to leave Mecca after the Hajj, he saw Safiyya, sad and standing at the entrance of her tent. He said to her, "Aqr (or) Halq! You will detain us. Did you perform Tawaf-al- Ifada on the day of Nahr? She said, "Yes". He said, "Then you can depart".

QUICK LESSONS:
Show kindness and compassion towards others regardless of their circumstances or situation they are in .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of kindness and compassion during Hajj. It is narrated by 'Aisha that when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was about to leave Mecca after performing his pilgrimage, he saw Safiyya standing sadly at the entrance of her tent. He asked if she had performed Tawaf-al-Ifada on the day of Nahr, which is a ritual done during Hajj. Upon confirmation from Safiyya that she had done so, he allowed her to depart with them. This incident shows us how important it is for us to be kind and compassionate towards others even in difficult situations like Hajj where people are often overwhelmed with emotions due to its spiritual significance. We should always remember that Allah loves those who show mercy towards others regardless of their circumstances or situation they are in.
