Stay away from alcohol ; Be aware of what one consumes ; Avoid harm to oneself ; Moderate consumption .

This hadith is about the prohibition of alcoholic drinks. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar who said that Umar stood up on the pulpit and said that alcoholic drinks are prepared from five things which are grapes, dates honey wheat or barley and an alcoholic drink is that which disturbs the mind. This hadith teaches us to stay away from alcohol as it can have a negative effect on our minds and bodies. We should also be aware of what we consume and make sure it does not contain any alcohol in it so we can stay away from its harms.
