Follow Islamic teachings , Abstain from consuming alcohol , Do not provide others with alcohol .

This hadith is about the prohibition of alcoholic drinks. It was narrated by Anas bin Malik, who was serving Abu 'Ubaida, Abu Talha and Ubai bin Ka'b with a drink prepared from ripe and unripe dates when someone came to them and said that alcoholic drinks had been prohibited. Upon hearing this, Abu Talha told Anas to throw it out which he did. This hadith teaches us that we should not consume any type of alcohol as it has been strictly prohibited in Islam. We must also ensure that we do not serve or provide anyone else with alcohol either as this is also considered a sin in Islam. Furthermore, this hadith shows us the importance of following Islamic teachings even if they are inconvenient for us at times as Abu Talha immediately ordered Anas to throw away the drink despite having already prepared it for them all to enjoy together.
