Prohibition of Intoxicating Drinks

SUMMARY: All drinks that cause intoxication are prohibited.

Narrated 'Aisha: Allah's Messenger was asked about Al-Bit. He said, "All drinks that intoxicate are unlawful (to drink)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْبِتْعِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ كُلُّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ فَهْوَ حَرَامٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked about a type of drink called Al-Bit. He replied that all drinks which cause intoxication are unlawful to consume. This hadith teaches us the importance of abstaining from intoxicating drinks and substances as they can lead to negative consequences such as addiction and health problems. It also serves as a reminder for us to stay away from activities which can lead us astray from the teachings of Islam.
