Flexibility in Islamic Law

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) initially forbade the use of certain containers, but allowed it when the Ansar said they could not do without them.

Narrated Jabir: Allah's Messenger forbade the use of (certain) containers, but the Ansar said, "We cannot dispense with them". The Prophet then said, "If so, then use them".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be flexible and understanding when it comes to following religious laws and regulations as long as they don't go against any core principles or teachings of Islam . Try our best not to put too much burden on people who are already struggling with their circumstances .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the flexibility of Islamic law. It shows that even though there are certain rules and regulations in Islam, if a person or group of people cannot follow them due to their circumstances, then they can be allowed to do so. In this case, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ initially forbade the use of certain containers but when he saw that it was difficult for the Ansar to do without them, he allowed them to use them. This teaches us that we should be flexible and understanding when it comes to following religious laws and regulations as long as they don't go against any core principles or teachings of Islam. We should also try our best not to put too much burden on people who are already struggling with their circumstances.
