Perform ablution like you do for prayers; Lie down on your right side; Recite certain words before going to bed; Have faithfulness and righteousness; Have an intimate relationship with Allah through worshipping Him regularly .

This hadith encourages Muslims to recite a prayer before going to bed, which will ensure that they die on the religion of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad instructed Al-Bara bin 'Azib that when he wanted to go to bed, he should perform ablution as if for prayer and then lie down on his right side and say certain words. These words are known as the “bedtime supplication” or “night prayer” and include phrases such as “Allahumma aslamtu wajhi ilaika” which translates into English as “O Allah! I surrender my face unto You”. By reciting this prayer every night before sleeping, one can be assured that if they were to pass away in their sleep, it would be while still being a Muslim.
