QUICK LESSONS:
Follow laws set by Allah in Quran, carry out justice and fairness when punishing someone according to Islamic law .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith discusses the practice of stoning to death as a punishment for certain crimes in Islam. It is narrated by Ash Shaibani who asked Abdullah bin Abi Aufa if Allah's Messenger carried out this penalty. Abdullah replied that he did but was unsure if it was before or after the revelation of Surat an Nur. This surah is part of the Quran and contains verses that discuss punishments for adultery and other crimes. Therefore, this hadith suggests that stoning to death as a punishment may have been practiced both before and after this surah's revelation. It also highlights how important it is to follow Islamic teachings when carrying out punishments for any crime according to Islamic law.
