Sahih Muslim 91c (Book 1, Hadith 173) #7438
The Sin of Pride

SUMMARY: Pride is a sin and those who have it in their hearts will not enter Paradise.

It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah observed: He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter Paradise.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to be humble, Treat everyone with kindness & respect.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abdullah, warns us against the sin of pride. It teaches us that having even a small amount of pride in our hearts can prevent us from entering Paradise. Pride is an attitude where one believes they are better than others and looks down on them. This attitude is wrong as it goes against the teachings of Islam which emphasize humility and respect for all people regardless of their status or background. We should strive to be humble and treat everyone with kindness and respect if we want to be rewarded with entry into Paradise.
