Be truthful and honest with your speech; take responsibility for what you say; do not spread rumors or gossip; strive for truthfulness and honesty in your speech so you can be rewarded by Allah in both worlds.

This hadith speaks about the consequences of carrying false tales. It is reported on the authority of Hammam b, al-Harith that a man used to carry tales to the governor. Hudhaifa remarked that he heard Prophet Muhammad saying that those who carry false tales would never enter heaven. This hadith teaches us an important lesson which is to be careful with what we say and not spread rumors or gossip as it can have serious consequences in this life and in the hereafter. We should always strive for truthfulness and honesty in our speech so we can be rewarded by Allah in both worlds.
